I'm going to NYC on Nov. 3 to seem TLM, and I'm going to try and rush/lotto/TKTS/sell my soul to the devil to see a matinee of another show. I'm going between Rent and Spring Awakening.
I've seen Rent on tour with Declan Bennett. And he was AMAZING. I absolutely loved him! And I want to catch him while he's still in the show.
Then there is Spring Awakening. I have not seen, and I really want to. I love the music, and all that I've heard about it so far. Plus, I did go to the open calls, so in the event I get a callback, I want to have seen the show live.
These threads probably get really annoying, but which one do you think I should go with?

Personally, I would go with Spring Awakening, I like to see shows I've not seen before over shows I already have. Plus I like Spring Awakening more than Rent. I've not seen Rent with it's current cast but others here can probably tell you the shape the show is in. Seems like I've been hearing that the cast of Rent looks bored on the stage as of late though.

I like Rent better, but...go see Spring Awakening. Even if you end up loving Declan again, the current supporting cast is going to look uninspired compared to the more enthusiastic tour cast you saw with him.
See Spring Awakening! First off, I always choose shows I haven't seen verses shows I have already seen!
