I think it should be done in a fringe theater. I doubt it would make a good legit musical and yet, I loved Debbie Does Dallas... so who knows.
yes it should....a friend and I have been "writing" it for awhile now
Didn't they do a sock puppet version for the Fringe Festival? I heard it was good.
If Elizabeth Berkley does the lap dance live, I'm there. With a fistful of dollar bills.
they just played the "Jessie's Song" episode of Bell on TBS!
along with the lapdance, her two best performances!

I've suggested 'Showgirls' for 30-Second Bunny Theatre.

They were caffine pills for god's sake!! Peter Engel, the creator, came to NYU to talk to us and said how much he thought that scene was over acted. You'd think she was on heroine the way she was acting.

you need to see the Saved By The Bell True Hollywood Story. they spend a mini-segment talking about "Jessie's Song" and the reactions to that ridiculous attempt at relevance. it's just the perfect example of exploring territory that was best left alone.

Both Showgirls and the Saved By The Bell episode go on my list of "So bad it's good." I would be first in line to see Showgirls: The Musical. As long as the "fan hands" choreography is in the show.
