Wow so I've never heard this before, but a friend said that because of tonight's weather, a lot of the leads won't be showing up. Do they actually do that or my friend informing me incorrectly? I'm going to the see The Little Mermaid and I'll be really disappointed if this is true.
I think your friend has mis-informed you pli1018. It's not been my experience; (been attending theatre since 1969), that the weather will keep members of a company away - especially the principals. I think your safe barring an 'everything-is-shut-down' snowstorm. Go and enjoy the show.
Unless they are snowed in and cant get in then they'll be there.

Phewf! I knew that sounded weird. I was like I'm pretty sure they are used to adapting to weather, I mean it's New York, not Antarctica. Thank you for you help!
And I most definitely will!
Whats the weather like there tonight/ I was supposed to fly over last Friday and leave 2mrw! Did i miss much?

Its snowing lightly, not much accumulation expected. Supposed to change to rain/slush. Streets are clear, some sidewalks are a little slippery, but all in all, its really nothing. Cold though. Dress warm!

The weather today is nothing that would prevent anybody from getting to their job on Broadway.
Phi, sounds like your friend is pulling a fast one on you. Just leads not coming to the show due to the weather, but everyone else can is crazy.
The old expression is very true.......if it doesn't make sense, it's not true.
