Posted: 9/23/04 at 8:06pmSeussical - I actually got free tickets to this show on tour. I left at intermission. On top of it, I got stuck in the balcony and the stage was TOO far...that didn't help.

Hmmm if the tickets were FREE I dont think there is any show I hate so much that I would pass up that oppertunity...

Posted: 9/23/04 at 10:24pmYeah, even if it was a really boring show (with the exception of Seussical), if it was on Broadway, and someone gave me free tickets, why the heck not?
re: Shows that even with Free Tickets you would not see again#9
Posted: 9/23/04 at 10:27pmIm not going to see PRYMATE again even if someone pays me the price of the full-priced ticket
re: Shows that even with Free Tickets you would not see again#10
Posted: 9/23/04 at 10:29pmI would turn down a show with free tickets if I didn't like it, why would I want to put myself through something like that again if I hated it the first time?

What is this masked musical? Let's just say it's still playing on and on and on and leave it at that.

Cats (i saw it 3 months before it closed, shudders)
Chitty Chitty Bang-Bang (London) when it comes to B-way keep in mind the affects are awesome and there's some funny bits, but the music is so insipid! and it DRAGS...

Phantom.
I personally am just as interested to hear people's opinions on still running shows that they wouldn't see again for a free ticket...(and isn't it more likely to get a free ticket to a show that is still running than not? I mean...really if I got a free ticket to a show not currently running...I probably COULDN'T go see it.)
Anyway point being -- I'd like to hear what shows (currently playing included) people wouldn't see again.
-Mike, who knows that Wicked and Rent will appear alot now.

Posted: 9/24/04 at 2:41amI'm surprised no one hasn't already said it, but without a doubt, mine would the The Sweet Smell of Success. I HATED this show. Just sitting through the whole thing was aweful. I thought it would never end.

Plum,
Do you understand why when you asked what the masked musical was I found it to be ironic??

This is too easy, though I hate your rule about currently running shows - so my partial list is this one:
The Civil War
Jeckyl and Hyde
The Scarlett Pimpernell
Urban Cowboy
Oh - to heck with it - currently running: Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast.

well, i have to go with shows I've seen at high schools (i know, they are diff, but still, I want to chime in lol).
-Annie Get Your Gun was just plain boring
-Even though I love the music from Footloose, I have to say I will think about seeing another production of this.
Hm, seems Cats was bad lol. and redhot dislikes Wildhorn lol
re: Shows that even with Free Tickets you would not see again#24
Posted: 9/24/04 at 12:33pmThere is not too much I would not see for free however I saw "Crazy For You" at my old high school last year and it was terribly long and drawn out so I could probably say that I wouldn't go and see that again, but if it were not a high school production then maybe. Except for the fact that it's a musical theater high school and all the sets are from NY. O well, who knows. That is a hard question.
