Really? When I read the Gypsy OBC CD booklet, they listed the dude singing with Merman unknown.
Hmm...maybe I interpreted that wrong. Methinks I may have to read the booket again.

The concept to "Drowsy" was given to Bob as a wedding present. (I kid you not.) But he is one of the authors.
Also...
The longest running (non-musical) play in Broadway history is "Life With Father"... co-written by Howard Lindsay, who starred in it with his wife Dorothy Stickney.

Posted: 2/16/06 at 10:50pmIn The Fantasticks, Tom Jones (book and lyrics) was the original Henry, as well as Henry in the Japan tour cast. I don't remember if Harvey Schmidt played piano for the original production, but he definitely did it on the Japanese tour.
