Hi everyone,
I just purchased tickets to 110 In The Shade!! I do not know the show at all and I must admit that I really just wanted to see Audra McDonald live. Is it a good show? What are the showstoppers? I would like to listen to the music before seeing it just to get familiar with the score. It looks like it has the possibility to be really dreary. Is this an accurate assumption? Any information would be appreciated! Thanks.

It is a terrific score. Songs that immediately come to mind as show-stoppers are Lizzie's "Old Maid" and "Raunchy." There is alot to admire in this show and you should have a great time.

Going in with that attitude, he's sure to not like it. I think it's a great show. If all you want to do is see Audra McDonald, go to one of her concerts

Aren't they dropping "Raunchy" for "Flibbertigibbet" in this production? I could have sworn I read that in an interview or article some time ago...
I imagine the "Rain Song" could get a strong ovation as well.
