I'm sure everyone has heard about Shrek the Musical coming to DVD sometime this year, and I apologize if this question has been asked, but would anyone happen to have any idea when it might be released? I was thinking about possibly getting it for my younder sister's birthday.

No official release date yet from Dreamworks. I'm sure it'll come out in time for the holidays.

Look how long it took for "Chess in Concert" to come out on DVD. We just have to be patient.

I know that this isn't really a reliable source, but I read a comment on YouTube from a person that said they saw the filmed version at a private screening in LA... So not really a reliable source, but definitely hope that it's still alive!
