#1Shrek Question (I Know It's Today)
Posted: 12/19/08 at 6:09pmIn the orchestra tests for I Know It's Today, teen phiona had a long verse about cinderella, in the today show performance, that whole part was skipped and it went straight to the blinding armor part. Was that cinderella verse cut from the show all together or was it just cut out for the today show?
-Danmeg's 10 year old son.

First of all, her name is Fiona.
But to answer her question, that verse is still in, but they had to cut it for time on the show.

How was that at all rude?
If you think that's rude, then you obviously haven't been here a long time, buddy.

We bring food to our seats. We unwrap candy during the show. We bootleg and don't cover up the red light. We scream whenever Stephanie J. Block, Mandy Gonzales, or Sherie Rene Scott hit a note.
We're the rudest of the rude.

I have a question on this song
How old are Young Fiona, Teen Fiona, and Fiona?
Young Fiona is in the tower on Day 23, and Teen Fiona is in the tower on day 958, which is about 3 years. Teen Fiona is only 3 years older than Young Fiona?
Also, originally Fiona was in the tower on Day 4,823 (about 13 years), but now she is in the tower 8,423 (about 23 years).
If Young Fiona is around 11, that makes Teen Fiona around 14, making Fiona 34? That seems a bit old for Fiona's character, even though it works better for Sutton Foster. I just always thought Fiona was younger.

Posted: 12/20/08 at 2:57pmI don't understand how people can say the musical didn't flesh the story out more? In the movie, it was really hard for me to care about fiona because Cameron diaz was just a flat line. This song not only establishes history, but we see ... She's a goofball. Neurotic. Hopeful. Eager. The authors used modern day qualities we all go through at one point, to infuse a stock character with a soul. Sutton and the girls bring that all out here.
