Don't want to seem a bit hasty and judgemental...but is there really a need for Shrek to be a musical on Broadway. Sure, it would most likely draw in a lot of tourism from family oriented theatre-goers...but was the movie really that good? I've honestly never seen it. But if my hero Sam Mendes is directing, it couldn't be all that bad. Who knows...maybe Broadway needs a new family friendly show.

Friendly-family shows are great- but does it have to be Shrek?Let them adapt another family oriented movie for the theater. Something like Madeline, or another Disney show.Forget about Shrek!!!

It is going to be interesting how they portray a huge green olgar(or however you spell it) and a donkey. Maybe they will do it liek Frog and Toad. We will have to see.

Yeah, I think it'll be a bit weird.. they're trying to cash in way too much.
