Billy, Billy, Billy! The Cast Recording is kinda lame, but, as said before, in the context of the show, the music is pretty great. Billy was definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen.

I'm already seeing:

Hair, Next to Normal and In the Heights.

I think I'll go with Billy Elliot, but a musical with a weak score is just crazy sounding to me.

While obviously everyone has their own opinions and choices vary depending on show style preference, if you're looking for just a good time at the theatre, I'd go with 39 Steps. It's really an awesome production, especially how 4 actors are able to create so many different roles in such a theatrically magical way that in my opinion far exceeds the childish humor of the failing movie-stage adaptation of Shrek. Billy Elliot is of course great too though.

I thought that about Billy going in, too, but the show is just amazing. I wasn't dying to see it but was blown away.
