Does anyone have a sense if all shows blackout discounts over the Christmas holidays? Husband and I are going to NYC for Christmas and want to see a few shows (On the Town, SideShow, Honeymoon in Vegas, and The Curious Incident...), but we don't want to pay the escalated holiday prices especially since these shows aren't huge sellers right now. Any advice? The most interesting of them all is On the Town as the average ticket price is much cheaper than any seat in the theater the week of Christmas.
You can't really compare the average ticket price now to one of the highest-selling weeks of the year when the town is loaded with tourists. Not sure if any shows will offer discounts, but probably not going to be advance online discounts. You're probably stuck with TKTS and TodayTix.
I doubt you'll see Curious Incident at a discount that week, though, so if that is definitely on your list, you probably have to pay whatever they're asking. That show is selling out on weekends now, and close to sold out on other days.
