The link is in the BWW News Section. What do you think?

Are they genuinely as the article makes 'em sound? Press a certain bit of shirt and it bursts into song or something?

Well, I'd definitely buy one! I would enjoy wearing it to work and harassing my co-workers with it. But I also enjoy harassing my co-workers by playing with all the noisy books in the kids section. Problem is it wouldn't last long before it ended up in the washing machine (where it would probably die), either as an act of not-paying-attention on my part, or well-disguised-malice on a housemate's. ^_^

But never let it be said that "things I like" and "things that are a good idea" fall under the same banner. I'd buy one and enjoy using it, but on an intellectual level, I don't think I approve as much...

Only if the song is "Like A Virgin." I can see that scene...

JOE: Touch my shirt.

BOB: Huh?

JOE: Touch my shirt.

BOB: Where?

JOE: Right here.

BOB: Okay. [He touches the shirt.]

JOE'S SHIRT: [music] Like a virgin! Touched for the very first time...

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Will they have an announcement to please silence your shirts before the show?

Oh I think the singing shirts are going to go the way of the shirts that changed colors when you touched them, or when they were in the sun. I forgot what they were called. But anyway, interesting idea but they will lose their novelty fast.

How does one wash a talking shirt? I'm wondering about that. I LOVED those shirts that left an imprint if you put your hand on it. from RC in Austin, TExas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

They were not flattering on a prepubescent girl, though.

I made underwear out of the color changing shirts.
