I'm listening to Sirius, and right now they are playing the original Japanese cast of Rent. It seems a little odd for them. Granted, it's 1 AM, but has anyone else ever heard them play a song in another language?

Also, parts of the song are english. For example at the end, it went, "rent rent rent rent rent, we're not going to pay rent" and then back to the Japanese.

Very disorienting. Updated On: 11/5/07 at 12:58 AM

I remember them playing the title song once a long time ago (in the afternoon).

You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

I cannot imagine the RENT cast album in Japanese,I never heard anything like that on 'Broadways Best'.
To date the only strange thing I ever heard was "Wing" singing 'Dont Cry For Me Argentina' and the main song from 'Phantom Of The Opera'.
It was so bad I didn't listen in for weeks.

They seem to be making a strong effort to play different things lately. I have heard a lot more variety. They also are doing these spots where they say that "You haven't heard this one before" and play a rarity or obscure song.

And in this particular case, they played the Japanese cast during Seth's interview with Adam Pascal.
