This show is being down in Melbourne and Sydney over the next few months, does anyone know any thing about it.

Good, Bad or indifferent, thanks

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Saw this show awhile back with Mark Hamill and Polly Bergen. At best it is OK. The idea of the showis interesting, but the second act needed a lot of work (to put it nicely). The talent was good it was the material that was lacking.
Should you see it? Well that depends on who is in the show and the cost. If there is someone in the show who you would love to see and the cost is low then yes, otherwise give it a pass. Hope this helps.
The show is about an aging former chorus boy, and an elderly widow.

A tedious and torturous evening of "theatre". It's a third-rate Lifetime movie of the week, at best.

Mominator meant to type "Mark Hamill" (Star Wars).

The hsow originated in California with David Hyde Pierce and Uta Hagen. They were supposed to take it to Broadway, then Ms. Hagen became ill. It evenual;ly opened on Broadway with Mark Hamill and Rue McClanahan, where it got terrible reviews and closed quickly.

Ooops thanks Jon! Will fix it. Rue left, Polly took over. Had front row seats and Mr. Hamill's buttinmy face for a good part of the production.

Rosscoe the intial Sydney season sold out at (the Ensemble) it is now to transfer to the Theatre Royal and Canberra Theatre before the Comedy Theatre run. I've been told it is a good "matinee lady" show.

That is a very good adjective for it!

Polly was terrific in this show! In fact, she has been wonderful in just about everything from the 1950s through her present role on Commander-in-Chief. A multi-talented lady!!!

Ah -

Go for Nancye Hayes, not for anything else.

"...But Kungurtseva reels off multiple fouettes and the tape is stopped so she can take a bow. The Jester, an abomination introduced to Swan Lake in Soviet times, extorts applause from the audience. The cuts don't help the storytelling, the production is bare bones and they go for the '50s-style happy ending. The audience cheers like mad at the end. It's the Russian ballet, after all..."
