Small question about organizing Cast Recordings...

Would you put the following with the rest of your legit Cast Recordings, or would you file under Misc.?

Elaine Stritch-At Liberty
Barbara Cook's Broadway
Barbara Cook-Mostly SOndheim
A Stephen Sondheim Evening.

At Liberty I have with my Broadway recordings, although I agonized over it. I think it is a complete legitimate show staring Elaine, to me it is the OBCR. A Stephen Sondheim evening is in my "various artists-tributes" section.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

Oh, the things we agonize over.

You're telling me.

I've been given multiple crazed looks for the pains I go to with my collection. Especially during the ill-fated "Alphabatized by Composer's last name/Chronological by release date" faze.

I stand corrected, you are as vapid as they say.

I had that faze too. It gave me a headache so I went back to straight A-Z.

Stritch in shows, alpha "Stritch"
All solo (or semi-solo) Barbara Cook albums under female vocals alpha "Cook"
Sondheim under composers

For years I arranged my cast recordings by opening date. I'll tell you one thing, that kept me sharp. Now its A-Z which is far simpler.

These things are important because, well they are important.

I'm delighted to see that there are more people that are completely anal on this board... I thought it was just me.
