I saw the show on Sunday. It isn't very good in my opinion. The score is very weak. I only really liked on song, "Just Tim" I think it was called. The story is interesting, but the book is pretty bad. I haven't seen the movie, but it is apparently very close. Why do people think every scene needs a song!?!?! They are going for a Falsettos kind of show, and it just doesn't work.

The cast is great. Kerry Butler is FANTASTIC and is why you would pay to see this show. Jeff McCarthy is wasted on this show. He is too talented for the part he plays. Karen Ziemba has her moments for sure. And David Burtka wet and with his shirt off!?!? How can you go wrong!

Overall, I was pretty bored. I saw "The Gig" in 1996 which has a score by the same guy who did this score. I remember thinking it was ok, but nothing amazing. Updated On: 10/12/04 at 11:37 AM

I saw david in The Play About the Baby. THAT as when I realized that yes, BG2, there IS a God.
