When I search for a SINGLE seat for Gypsy on weekends in April, the best I can come up with is row J on the very side orchestra. From there, it's on to rows like M, R, and Q.
So, do we think this is because the orchestra is really almost completely full to the point that I can't get a SINGLE somewhere closer or more central? Or is it because there are so many seats sold under "Premium Tickets"? If it's the latter, how long before a show date do the unsold seats get bumped down to regular price?
Thank you for any thoughts!
I'm having the same problem! I am looking for two seats instead of one, but it's in JUNE! JUNE! Seriously, selling so well in June at this point? I would love some people to weigh in on this! Would it be better to try and get tickets at the Box Office instead of Telecharge?
Oops, double post.
They are probably holding premium seats, which will be released a day or two before the performance at regular prices. If you can wait and do a trip into NY last minute, you should get great orchestra seats at the normal orchestra price, not the premium price.
I had the same problem for April... I had to settle for the centre of Row T in the orchestra.... I did not want to sit on the far side of a closer row.
I'm seeing the show on Thursday night. When I went to the box office a couple of weeks ago, I was told the orchestra was completely sold out for March 13th. Hence, I'm in the 6th row center of the mezzanine.
