I think the Wicked score is beautiful. As for the show, it's a fun night out.

I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&. "Jayne just sat there while Gina flailed around the stage like an idiot."

You know what, I think the theory about the original cast creating magic that faded away once they left is probably 100% accurate. Take it from me, I never saw them... but I saw it on Broadway in 2008 with Lisa on for SJB and Annaleigh and felt completely underwhelmed.

*Wow, I'm going to get eaten for this*
The first show I saw was the 10th anniversery non-equity tour of Rent. The show blew the roof off of the theatre. Every time something...ANYTHING... happened on that stage, it was magical. I can not explain it... it just made me feel things inside that words can't describe. So EVERY time I go into a show, I expect it to make me feel like that. Wicked did the complete opposite. Every time something on the stage happened, I just thought 'Is that it?'. Everything just felt... small and underwhelming. The thing that was most lost... was the emotional effect.

I have a feeling that if I'd seen it with the OBC, maybe I would have felt the way I did when I saw Rent.
