I tried not once, not twice, but thrice to get a picture with him while I was there in March. It did not work out that well. The last time I got close enough to take a photo of him as he was signing this Puertorican girl's poster of him. I think your best bet would be to get to the stage door at least 45 mins early and stand right next to the door and just wait it out and hope he comes by and signs your stuff. No pics with him for a long while. Hopefully this show gets a good run so I can go back and try for a photo-op.

Maybe you could throw tear gas and kidnap him in the ensuing confusion? That could be the basis for a lasting and significant friendship...

When someone can explain the thrill of a split-second contact with a celebrity who could only see you as nothing more than one faceless cow out of an enormous herd - maybe then I'll lose my revulsion of the stage door.

^For me it is just the thrill of getting to gloat afterwards when I see my friends and other people who love theater.

There are just certain people I want to meet and tell them how much I adore their music. With Ricky I have a special connection because my Grandfather is from Puerto Rico and so I feel like he could have grown up with my dad had the family stayed there...

I could understand gloating maybe if you had dinner with him, maybe a real one-to-one conversation as equals.

Otherwise, as noted above, the fan is barely noticed, and thus the contact has no essential meaning; it's only a fantasy.
