Posted: 5/18/03 at 5:40pmI just wanted to wish the cast of U.C. all the best. They are incredible people. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting them all and spending time with them. I know it wont be long until we will see them in something new and better. Best of luck and hold your heads high. There are people out here that loved Urban Cowboy.
#1closing
Posted: 5/18/03 at 6:52pmi went to the closing show of urban cowboy and it was so sad everyone in the cast was crying when the director came out at the end and gave a speech. during the show most of the cast was crying. it's really a shame that such a good show closed. well i hope everyone in the cast gets lots and lots of offers for other shows!
#2The final show ROCKED!!

Lots and Lots of cheering and screaming and adlibs from the cast and lots and lots of screaming as each castmember stepped out on stage.. When Jenn stepped out to do her first scene they messed up their lines because the cheering went on for so long. This was the best I had ever seen the company perform. The energy was 100 times what they usually gave and that was at level 100 already. It was so sad to see them cry on stage but the curtain call was really beautiful and well done. Im glad to see it end on such a pos. note rather than what would of been a sour one back in March. I will miss this show so much and I am thrilled I got to see it as many times as I did as well as get to see these wonderful performers make their debuts. Best of luck to them all.. "every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end"
Thanks Urban Cowboy! Maybe you ride on during the tour for many years.

Completly agree with above post. Lonny Price, by mentioning the entire company and staff (doomen, box office, tech people, stage management) by name, proved himself to be a true "Class Act". If every company gave as much as the Urban Cowboy company, Broadway would be a much brighter place.
At least that's my opinion, I may be wrong.

Posted: 5/19/03 at 11:10amI didn't think the show was the greatest, but I do wish that every show had that much energy coming from the cast.
