I'm confused, are touring/sit down shows closed too?

What a night! I was in more laps than a napkin!

Nope, well all shows in Chicago are unaffected.

I know it may affect some. The tour I work for right now is getting ready for a possible strike.

So far it has not affected any tours. AEA has told all actors & crew to take personal items from the theatre every night in case it does. The only way it would affect tours is if the IATSE International told the road & local crews to go out. Then Equity & musicians would honor any picket lines set up by IATSE. Hopefully we never get to that point!

It did not affect My Fair Lady this weekend.

Will this affect the Sweeney tour heading to Ohio in December?

(*God forbid that the strike lasts that long...*)

I don't think it would because I think the touring companys are under a different contract. I think that might be true I really don't know I am more guessing then anything. If you worried about Sweeney call the theatre that its playing at and ask them. When I found that Union One went on strike it was about 5 am in the morning. I was in my own show yesterday and getting to load out our show. I am behind on this.

This strike only effects buildings in New York City controlled by the Jujamcyn, Shurbert, and Nederlander organizations. Touring stagehands work on a different contract which is not in dispute. So unless the tour is coming to a Broadway house, it should still be running.

Camelot is to open tomorrow night in Cincy. I found this on http://www.cinstages.com "there is the chance that Cincy stagehands will support the Broadway stagehands strike. We’re waiting for official comment from Cincinnati Stage Employees Local No. 5" I'm to see Spamalot this Sat. in Columbus. I am planning to call the theater later in the week to see if there is a show or not.

9/10 - Next To Normal, Ensemble Theatre
9/18 - Brian Stokes Mitchell, Cincy Pop's
9/28 - Death Of A Salesman, Wright State
