According to a Playbill.com article:
"Mark Hollmann, the composer and co-lyricist of Urinetown, and Robert Harling, the author of Steel Magnolias, are collaborating on a musical based on the film comedy "Soapdish," Variety reported."

Posted: 3/7/05 at 3:02pmI think it's an uber-fantastic idea. I always thought that HAIRSPRAY and SOAPDISH were sister movies. Considering how great HAIRSPRAY is as a musical, SOAPDISH will also be a riot!
