Does anyone here go to the theatre alone sometimes? As a college student, it's hard to find people who are as willing as I am to shell out $30-$100 on a night of theatre, and sometimes I wonder if I should go alone or just skip out altogether.

i went alone before...to see beauty and the beast actually...it was actually a good experience, it was different...you can really get into it when your friends arent there to comment and such. jsut go if you cant find someone...i would...well id make someone ride the train with me at least(im in ct)and they could just go somewhere else..

I go by myself FAR more often than I go with anyone. I see several dozen shows a year and it's simply impossible to 1) find any one or two or three people THAT interested in going THAT often; 2)I've found coordinating with other people's schedules FAR more trouble than it's worth. I'll arrange to go with a date (or a "date") maybe three or four times a month -- that's it.

I go to movies and theater by myself all the time. It's easier for me to pay attention and it spares me the trouble of trying to coordinate with someone else's schedule.
go alone, the experience is worth it. Never pass down a chance to see soemthing just because you have no one to go with. If there's something I really want to see and I have no one to go with I just go myself.
