Read in almost every review that the ending contains the traditional "Labute-ian" twist....can anyone spoil it for me, who won't get to see the show?
Thanks.

OK, as you know from the reviews , on the eve of his wedding, McCormack's character is trying to settle things and get some closure with four of the women from his past he feels he may of mistreated or hurt so he's flown around the country to arrange short meetings with each of them in hotel rooms in the cities where they live. Towards the end of the last scene with Maura Tierney, a lamp in the room is accidentally turned around revealing a microphone with a wire attached to tape recorder. See the McCormack character is a writer who has recently gotten a bit of acclaim and press from a book that was notable for its realistic handling of relationships and its vivid naturalistic dialogue. So rather than this tour of exes being about contrition and redemption and healing old wounds, it was really just about getting a bunch of fresh material for his next book or two.
It isn't really all that shocking of a twist (or that good of a play), but there it is.

Thanks....that seems more interesting than it really is....kind of like the end of Shining City.

What's the ending of Shining City.
I hope they release "Some Girl(s)" - I'd really like to read it.
SOME GIRL(S) is being released in print at the end of this month.
There's a thread devoted to SHINING CITY. You will find the ending there.
