Some Girl(s) off Broadway

Has anyone seen it yet? I'm going tomorrow and wanted to hear someone else's opinion on it. Also, does anyone know where the stage door is and if they all come out?(Especially Eric McCormack)
Any help is appreciated!

I found it slightly tedious and mostly miscast. I think LaBute's style requires actors with genuine depth to make their shallowness tolerable. (Does that make sense?) I like all these actors in their various and sundry sitcoms. But they just didn't have enough "there" there to make it work. Why producers insist on using "names" when better actors would result in a better show and thus (theoretically) better box office?

Posted: 5/25/06 at 2:44pmI am going to the matinee on Saturday and plan to stage door afterwards. I will let you know if I am successful or not.

Posted: 5/25/06 at 2:48pmThere is an alley to the right of the theater (when you are leaving the building) that is technically the "stage door" but 9 times out of 10 the actors will exit through the main entrance or the door at the bottom of the mezzaine stairs.

Posted: 5/25/06 at 2:59pmI think this is really second rate LaBute -- underwritten, facile and rather boring throughout. McCormack is still in Will mode, and while the others are solid more or less, their presence just further emphasizes the overall Lifetime tv movie feel of the material. It's truly a superficial and uninteresting piece of theatre.

Britt-
The show was really good. We sat in the mezzanine, but tomorrow I have a front row seat. I will enjoy it much better from there! I met all of the actors except Eric. My friend did not want to wait around any longer, but since I had already met him during the run of the Music Man, I didn't mind leaving. Everyone else was quite nice. Hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think!

The performance I want to go to is sold out and I was wondering if I had any chance of getting cancellation tickets. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the show. I really want to meet Fran Drescher! Which door did the actors leave from?

Diva-
I don't know that there actually was a line. On the weekends I know there usually is. I got there after 6:00 though. Fran & Judy came out the door to the right...they had velvet ropes up in front of the door...not like barricades though. They signed some autographs then got into a car and left. Hope you get to meet her. She was quite nice.
