Someone in a tree saw the room where it happens

more HAMILTON obsession these days...
Listening to "The Room Where it Happens" (LOVE it) made me think of another great song about a crucial, historical negotiation of which there is no record, "Someone in a Tree" from PACIFIC OVERTURES.

Both are masterful tours de force which recognize and riff on the fact that there is no record. Also, to a lesser extent, "Burn" provides an opportunity to add dramatic depth to the lack of account of Eliza's response - but that's different from a crucial historical and plot nexus.

Can anyone else think of similar cases that there was a crucial lack of information about a historical plot point - and what was the solution?

Absolutely. The same comparison occurred to me when I saw it at the public. Both songs fit the themes of their respective shows perfectly, but definitely have thematic similarities to each other. "No one really knows what got discussed" is when the similarity seems the strongest
