No one started a thread about the Something Rotten CD signing at Barnes & Nobles that took place on Thursday, July 16th?

I attended and arrived about 12:30 for the 4pm performance/signing. When I got there I was about 6 or 7th in line. Hard to tell because people were wandering, rejoining the line, friends were coming and joining the line...wasn't worth even saying anything and creating enemies.

Think they got about the same number of people that The Visit got the previous week. As I was leaving the full room afterwards there was a small handful of people who didn't get in and hoped they would be accommodated for the signing.

Three songs were performed:

1. God, I Hate Shakespeare: Brian d'Arcy James and John Cariani

2. I Love the Way: Kate Reinders and John Cariani

3. Hard to Be the Bard: Christian Borle

An announcement was made that due to the cast needing to get to the theater to perform the show that night only the CD would be signed...no memorabilia.

Cast members in attendance for the signing (and at the table in this order)

- Michael James Scott

- Heidi Blickenstaff

- John Cariani

- Kate Reinders

- Brad Oscar

- Christian Borle

- Brian d'Arcy James

(Brooks Ashmanskas name was at the table but they removed it - he did not show up)

Once again - well organized though since I was at the beginning of the line it was a but odd that someone with the event was sending a dozen CD booklets to be signed - backwards - on the table. So it added a little confusion to the cast trying to sign for those attending as booklets were being passed on the table to their right (for the audience) and then to the left (for the person with the event).

I was out of the store by 4:30. So glad I attended. I was on the fence because I have had very little interest in attending the show. I didn't know much about it and probably was not planning to attend. I figured why not get the CD and see if it spikes my interest...if not I only spent the money on the CD. Happy to say - I really am enjoying it and look forward now to attending the show!
