Posted: 5/6/05 at 4:59pmThere was a considerable thread on this show a few weeks ago. Everyone basically agreed that you need a big budget for a set and 10 good character actors who can do varying class levels of British accents. While a couple thought the show was just plain lame, most agreed that it was a lot of fun, with many good roles and generally delightful songs. You'll need a good director with a flair for time, style and pace. And a great set.

I think the show is a lot of fun. I think the key is to cast people that you know will have fun with it. If the actors are viewing it as "lame" then that will certainly come across. That's the only way that I feel that shows like Grease and Oklahoma work, now, too.
