Sondheim - "The Songs I Wish I Had Written"

Does anyone have a copy or a link to this list of songs that Sondheim wishes he has written? I have heard a number of the songs that are listed, but I would like to see the entire list.
But I won't live alone in a house of regret.

Are you talking about the list that was in NY Times magazine with Sondheim on the cover? I think I kept that. For some reason, the only song I remember listed was Home from 70,Girls,70. If you want, I'll try to find it and post.

I really recommend burning a CD with as many of those as you can. Though their sources are too varied for most CD collectors to have all of them, they really make for an interesting afternoon of listening.

OurTime, They sure do. How often does one listen to Hard Hearted Hannah? I wish I had a recording of that by Bea Arthur. She sang it on one of the episodes of Golden Girls.

The best version I ever heard of Hard Hearted Hannah was by Dorothy Loudon on a talk show back in the late 70s or so. It was showstopping.

And My Fair Lady --

Those are ALL great songs, but some of them are from flop shows.
