Anybody has the DVD that was released last year? I have an old recording of the broadcast and was wondering if it's worth getting the DVD, as it is on 50% off on Amazon. Would love to hear opinions on the quality...

Wait, you have a recording of the original broadcast? Is it in color? If so, how can I convince you to send me a copy?
I bought the DVD, and in my opinion, it's well worth it for the restored quality and the bonus features. Plus, a DVD won't wear out with multiple viewings like a VHS will.
However, even though the original broadcast was in color, the only master they can find is in black and white, so the DVD is black and white. Which is why I'd love a copy of yours if it's in color!

It's worth every single penny. Such an amazing piece of work. It is in black and white, but IMO it takes nothing away. In fact, I think it kind of adds to the drearyness and Twilight Zone feeling of the movie.
I think I have the same old recording as you, in black and white, not color. It was so-so quality and only worth suffering through, because you liked it so much. This picture is crystal clear and beautiful. It also has a ton of special features.
I would love to see this remade. This is perfect, but I'd love to see what they could do with it now!
