Posted: 9/3/04 at 5:14pmI have taken everyone's advice, and decided not to sing the song The Wizard and I, from Wicked for my audition. The audition is not for a part in a play, the audition is just to get into this company...I do have a wider range then many, but it has it's limitations...I would also like to be original (one of the reasons I chose not to sing The Wizard and I)...Can you think of any? I'm 12...range is...Low g, to high B, if that's what you mean. Updated On: 9/3/04 at 05:14 PM

original. hmmm
12? range... hmmm
well if u want upbeat i'd say go for something like...
my new philosophy
it may be a duet at points.. but if u edit the music sheets, i'm sure you can figure it out.
its a cute song, its pretty easy though. but original i would think.
for something more....inimate or emotional? i would say "sympathy" from jekyll and hide. thats a great number.
also! "hold on" from secret garden is GREAT choice. i say definatly go for that. its a great melodie and a bit challenging.

Look at a book called "The 16 bar theatre audition" if you want to just look it up, the songs in it are all over the internet, they are great audition songs :)
Also - "What did I have I don't have now" could be a fantastic song if you like it :)
