Songs for a New World?

Someone in my theater group suggested doing "Songs for a New World." I was wondering, is there any narration in it, or is is basically what is on the CD?

There is no narration. Just songs. Usually JRB will just introduce the songs as to why he wrote it etc. Other than that it's just a straight concert.

I don't think it's a concert at all. It's a very intricate song- cycle with a lot of throughlines. Pick up Scott Miller's "Rebels With Applause" if you want an in- depth look at the show from a director's perspective. Great book.
