It's a musical, but more a musical review than anything. It's a group of songs composer Jason Robert Brown put together that didn't have anything to do with each other. SFANW is sung by 4 performers and was originaly staged pretty much as a concert. I recently saw in in LA staged in a coffee shop with characters and a quasi-story line. This piece gave JRB a name and he's written the Tony award-winning, Parade, and Drama Desk Award Winning, The Last Five Years since.

Yes, and it's amazing. I love this show- it really has a lot of great music. I love the song "I'm Not Afraid Of Anything". Updated On: 8/31/03 at 08:57 PM

The Best Song from that show is "Stars and Moon"-- I could listen to it forever.
Also love "One More Step" and "Sarabya Santa"

Has anyone else just broke out into a rhythmic little samba to "Stars and the Moon"? Not that I do that...on the weekdays at least

I looooooooooooooooooooooooooooo(5 days later)oooooooo Lauren Kennedy's rendition of "Flying Home". Don't listen to Songs for a New World's version. Download hers. Its so much more powerful. JRB even liked it better.

I absolutley love "I'm not afraid of anything"! It is such a great song! I use that for my auditions sometimes and casting directors love it because it is different hardly anyone does songs from that show!
