I saw it, many times. There was no dialogue. Just a beautiful, simple set with a big bed, a door, three musicians in white pyjamas and eighteen different lighting fixtures which set the mood for each song. The lighting design was exceptional. Michael Winther wore a blue T-shirt and blue pyjama bottoms, and moved around the set barefoot. It wasn't strictly a concert, as Michael moved around the set a lot barefoot and acted and mimed along with several songs. For instance, in "Dinner Party" he was a bored guest, in "I Want To Go Out Tonight", he danced atop the bed while it was wheeled around the set with disco lights twinkling along its sides, and "Perfect, Finite", a single, bare bulb sympolized an open apartment window while he sung while looking wistfully at it.
It may not sound like much but it was totally captivating. And during "the Night You Decided To Stay", I cried like a freakin' infant - everytime.
"Christ, Bette Davis?!?!"
