It feels like summer is wrapping up. but i am not here to talk about that. PIAZZA. i dont even know how to describe the experience in words. If you dont know how to love, never been in love, never wanted love, or have never been loved, you just might miss out on the greatness of this show. THIS IS THE BEST SHOW ON BROADWAY!!!!!!!!!!! This is the only show worth seeing on BROADWAY! Forget about your other crappy musicals(thats what they are in comparison), this one is just heartbreaking, moving, funny, loving, sweet, hard to watch, emotional, EVERYTHING A MUSICAL SHOULD BE! people were rushing out of the theatre at intermission just to get a break from the emotional piece! i mean i had to get a breath of air at intermission. my heart was just pounding all through the first act and at intermission i was taking deep breaths and calling every close friend i had to ttell them to get TICKETS NOW! Missing this is like missing caroline, or change but even more so! If you havent seen it, you are the worlds biggest idiot and i pity you! this show should have taking all the tonys in my opinion! BUT I AM SO HAPPY VICTORIA CLARK TOOK THE TONY!!! SHE IS JUST STELLAR!! SHOWSTOPPING! BREATHTAKING!!! the entire cast is just incredible and you can tell that they know what kind of piece they have involved themself in. they are grateful for this music. to perform this show has to be satisfying. i had Matthews understudy and he was incredible! kelli is BEYOND INCREDIBLE!! THE NACARELLI FAMILY IS INCREDIBLE! DIVIDING DAY, SAY IT SOME HOW, LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, FABLE, LOVE TO ME ARE INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE!!! AH! i am so worn out! emotionally Drained! GO SEE THIS SHOW NOW!!!!!!! TODAY!!!!

I know you're not kidding. I literally had to take a deep breathe at the end of both acts. That is exactly how one should feel after seeing Piazza. I completely agree with everything you said! Piazza IS the best show on Broadway and should not be missed. And, yes, it should've won every Tony but let's be happy that Victoria and Adam Guettel both won instead of Christina and Spamalot(not based on merit but headlines).

Thank goodness for Adam Guettel!

That is exactly the way I felt after I saw it.

I love LITP, and my parents haven't gotten me the soundtrack yet, so all I have is the promo CD.

This show's music is so beautiful, and I feel that another trip to the Piazza is due very shortly.

That review put a huge smile on my face, because that's exactly how I feel every time I see the show!

I couldn't agree more. It is simply the best show on Broadway and should be seen by anyone who appreciates art, beauty, and intelligent writing, not to mention magnificent performances.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I was overwhelmed by the show from the beginning, as the leaves started blowing on the stage...LOVE IT.

This show moved me as well. It took me a while to compose myself. When I tried talking about it, I would get choked up. It's by far the most beautiful work I have ever seen on the Broadway stage.

I'm getting chills thinking about it again. Oh those gorgeous harps that begin the overture and the leaves blowing. So impossibly romantic.

I agree. The most beautiful and moving show of this or any year. And after a few listenings to the cast recording (there isn't a soundtrack because it's not a film), perhaps you too will have the complex but gorgeous melodies replaying themselves over and over again inside your head.
