I would really love to see South Pacific on my next visit to NY but I'm finding it's impossible to get a ticket for under $350 when all you need is one.
For those who know - just where does the cancellation line form and how early do think I should be there for the 3:00 Sunday matinee?
Thanks for your help!
I've read that two hours early is fine. However, just this past Saturday, I walked up to the box office and just bought a pair of tickets for full price (def worth it) two hours before the matinee (noon for the 2pm show). At that time, there was nobody in any line for cancellation tickets. So I would say go at 1.
Thanks so much gg!
You can get tickets for $150 for orchestra through broadway.com if you don't feel like waiting in line.
if you're just buying a single ticket, telecharge is the way to go. with charges and everything, an orchestra ticket is about $135.
I try telecharge - about every 3 hours over the last 4 or 5 days. Each time I get a message that single tickets are NOT available.
Broadway.com gives you this message:
"We're sorry, individual tickets are no longer available for this performance." If I buy a hotel package with it, I can get a ticket. Just a little over a thousand dollars and I'm in.
what day are you looking? because I was just checking availability and there are tickets for tonight's performance left, as well as a few more shows this week. I guess weekends aren't available?
ETA: maybe I should've paid more attention to your original post. yeah, Sundays are tough.
October 26. Sunday matinee is the only time I can go.
I know there are seats available - but they won't sell me a single seat.
Isn't this discrimination?
I still don't know about the cancellation line. Do I just go to the box office and then to (wherever?) they send me?

Sorry to bring this up a somewhat dead topic, but I was wondering about the cancellation line.
Would it be probable to get a ticket (probably 2 tickets actually) through the cancellation line on Black Friday? And where does the line form?
Thanks.
The line forms downstairs, in the hallway down from the box office. I haven't a clue about availability on black Friday.

Are you searching premium seats as well? Because they release unsold premium seats for regular price a few hours before the performance (usually when the box office opens). Sometimes you can also find these seats a couple of days before show time.

Are the cancellation tickets any cheaper or are they just sold at the same price as whatever the ticket was?
They are sold at regular price - why would they sell at a discount when tickets are still so difficult to get?

Well, no, I understand that, I just didnt know if they were sold at some sort of discount because they were sort of last minute, second hand sort of things. I paid full price for mine, I think it was $110 and I was like 6 rows from the stage. It's a great theater because I would imagine most seats are great because of the stadium seating.
Do they usually have cancellation tickets available every day? Does anyone know how Kelli's attendance record has been this week? Or if she has any scheduled days off in the near future?
