Spamalot Cast Change

When does the OBC typically leave a show? I want to see Spamalot with (most) of the original cast if possible. I live in New York, so I can get tickets far in the future without a problem...but I don't want to purchase too far out. Any insight?

I did a search for this topic, but I couldn't find it. Please don't flame me if it exists...I tried.

They'll all probably be there atleast a year. There was news about Azaria leaving for a short time to do something, but I don't know if that's true or the dates.

Azaria is leaving soon for a month or so to shoot a season of his Showtime series Huff.

Any news on what dates exactly Azaria will be gone?

re: Spamalot Cast Change

Someone said that at the stage door, DHPierce said their contracts expire late December ( I think December 21st). This is minus the month-long absence of Hank Azaria.

I was the one who talked to DHPierce at the stage door. He said that their contracts expire one year from when the started in Chicago.

But has anyone gotten any actual dates for Azaria's time out? I'm finally getting my chance to see it on 6/1 and I really would like to see as many of the original cast as possible.

He'll most likely be there then - right before the Tonys.
