Does anybody know if I can find demos of "Burn Her" or "The Cow Song"? I thought I remembered Eric Idle was supposed to release his demos of these, but never ended up finding them (and Googling isn't doing much for me).

Not sure, but I saw both numbers in the Chicago tryout. Burn Her wasn't bad, but The Cow Song deserved to be cut. It brought the first act to a screeching halt just before it ended. But Diva's Lament worked better when the character was assigned multiple roles.

I never heard a demo, but there's sheet music out there. 'Course I can't read music, so it's all moot to me.

FWIW, the program had a little 45 rpm record included that had a song or two, presumably from the show. I seem to remember that one of them was kinda cute (and the program had a picture or two of the deleted song). I also sorta remember doing a search and finding a bootleg demo of "Burn Her" somewhere, probably a Python fan site. Hope this helps a bit.

The CD that came with the souvenir program included "Soggy Old Blonds," but disappointingly nothing else.

Well, if anybody does find "Burn Her", please do send me in the direction. My web-searching skills, it seems, are now near-useless.
