Hi all - I know people hate these type of questions but I would like to prepare my friend.
We will be seeing Spamalot on Friday night and Wicked on Sunday.
Does anyone know of anyone preplanned absences. Thanks.

Posted: 3/2/06 at 6:24pmAgain, performers are scheduled to go on unless there is a family emergency, last minute sickness, etc...sometimes these things are last minute.

Megan's on vacation this week (she was out yesterday).
Christian Borle was out of Spam on Wednesday.

Well, 2 shows and not one understudy.
Spamalot was great. I think I enjoyed even more the second time around. I think Simon did a great job, dare I say better then Tim. I found Lauren to be ok, but definately not a show stopper, actually the show seemed to lose something when she was on stage. I thought the rest of the cast were in great form. Christian is amazing.
Wicked. I have seen this show 2 times before. 2 with Idina, 1 with Kristin. I thought the show was lacking a little. I did not see the WOW factor. Could be my third time or just the lack of spark on the stage not sure. I thought that Megan was great, still think Kristin and Jennifer were a bit better for me. I was not that impressed with Eden, I guess I was comparing to much to Idina. This unforunately was my 2nd viewing of Derrick and I do not understand why they brought him back. I found him painful to watch. Carol Kane was good, missed Carole Shelly. I thought Ben was good. Still think seeing Sean as the Wizard was the best. I thought the ensemble was good but not as good as the previous viewings. I did enjoy the show, just found it hard to not compare to previous casts. Now that said, I went with 7 people, 4 who had never seen the show before and they all loved it.
Before this post causes an aurguement, remember these are just my opinions.

I saw wicked last saturday, the 25th and then this saturday, the 4th. Eden was MUCH better on the 25th. She really had the WOW factor... but this weekend wasn't as good. She seemed not to be feeling that great and didn't hit all of the notes she hit the week before. It was definitely disappointing. However, she was still good.. and megan was excellent! Last week we saw the wizard understudy, anthony galde... great singer... but ben has more personality.
