Special Event at Urinetown in Cleveland

Bay Village. I grew up next door in Westlake, but spent (or more accurately...mis-spent) a significant portion of my teen years hanging with the freaks at Huntington Beach. Actually saw multiple waterspouts (tornadoes, while they are over water from the cliffs over Huntington Beach one particular Fourth of July. One hit a crowded lakefront park in nearby Lakewood that day and there were casualties. That's gotta be one of the top ten...no, make it top five...scariest things I've ever seen.

There's also a nice little community theater, The Huntington Playhouse, across the street. Sadly, I only went there once or twice during the aforementioned smoke-fogged years of my youth.

I feel your pain. Kidding.

There are actually quite a lot of cultural opportunities to be had in the area. You're near Kent State and they have an active drama department, if I remember correctly. And there must still be art film houses nearby. (We'll forget, for a moment, about my visit, en masse with friends, to an alternative "art" theater in Akron to see The Stewardesses in 3D circa 1971...oy). The Blossom Music Center...great concerts. And a myriad of stuff in Cleveland.

Unfortunately, one needs to be able to drive in order to take advantage, so that can be a complication, for now, if you're one of the younger posters. Of course, I've been gone for a long time, and it's possible that mass transit has dramatically improved. Hope so.
