I don't know if I'm going to get rush tickets, but I was just wondering, how lenient are theaters if you don't have your student ID? I was particularly interested in the Circle in the Square theater. Do you think if I printed some transcript from online and showed my license that would be enough?
I don't have my student ID on me, so I was just wondering.

Posted: 8/14/07 at 10:36amWhen I did Spelling Bee student rush about 3 weeks ago, they just gave me the tickets. I even asked if they wanted my student id, and they said, "Nah...". It's pretty laid back. I think you'll be fine. Have fun! :)

Posted: 8/14/07 at 11:02amI don't know, I had the opposite experience. When I rushed, I had to wait for my friend who was coming to see it with me because he had his student ID and I forgot mine at home - the guy at the box office wouldn't give me SR tix unless I had the ID. So ... ::shrug::

Okay here's what I did:
I went to the box office around 11:20. I had with me a printout of my transcript, picture with my ID number, and my class schedule - all from my university's student website. The rush bleacher seats were sold out, but they had student rush. He accepted my printouts.
I would've liked to see some other show but I need to catch a train around 9:30ish and that's when most shows let out. I figured this is better than nothing.
I got F218 - how is that seat?

Coolkid, I don't know how the rush lines have been lately, but I have a feeling they'd be more strict about having IDs since it is a popular show for rush. I hear you have to be there as early as 5 or 7 am.
The seats I had in May were orchestra seats to the extreme side.

From what I have been hearing, you don't need to arrive that early for rush...have I been mistaken?? I want to rush next weekend and would love a recent update on Bee rush.
Thanks

"Yeah, 5am for Spelling Bee?!?!"
Cool Kid was asking about SA (Spring Awakening) rush.
Student rush is easy for this show - I went an hour and a half after they opened and got tickets. Just be there before the box office opens for the bleacher seats.

oh my bad, and you totally said what time you got there in an earlier post. Sorry!
(Although I am kinda relieved I won't have to get up at 5 to rush this show
)
