Usually alot since crowd is also comprised of spill-over from Wicked lottery.
This Sat. should be easier because of Labor Day weekend and mass exodus out of city

Why would there be a Wicked spillover?

I was trying to get an estimate of how many since I was going to try tomorrow night. Anyone have good/bad experiences?

There is a Wicked spillover because theaters for both shows are side by side.
Wicked lottery begins earlier than Spelling Bee's lottery. Often disappointed people who have not won Wicked's lottery, then simply walk over to Circle in The Square--a mere few steps from the Gershwin Theater and try their luck with Spelling Bee.
Normally-there are about 150 or more people for Spelling Bee- but as previously stated I think on Labor Day weekend--you may get lucky because many people head for out of town.
