Spelling Bee possible secret meaning

I was a little unsure how to title this topic, but here goes:
I saw Spelling Bee recently and Rona said that Olive's mom was away in India for nine months for a spiritual quest. Back in the old days, when a girl got pregnant, they would send her far away to a grandmother's house until the baby was born and then given away to adoption. Since Olive's mom and dad weren't having the best of relationships lately, maybe a baby from her cheating was the cause of her to go away for NINE MONTHS. Am I digging too deeply? What do you guys think?

It's certainly not digging too deeply; it's merely posing a theory about something in the show that has no explanation behind it (not that it needs one, per se). Good noticing of things.

I was definetly thinking that's what it could mean, so no, you're not crazy or alone on that :)
Like in Harispray, when one of the nicest kids in town is going to be on vacation or whatever for Nine months.
Granted that it was more played off that way in that show,
But this could definetly be meant as that, and well probably was.

Interesting theory about the "I Love You Song." Listening to the words, one can tell the Olive's parents are having problems. That is what is so sad about the song, it more than just about how Olive wants her parents love and attention, it is also about how her parent's problems are affecting her.
