Spider-Man: The Musical auditions

I found a video online where the casting director of Spider-Man says they went after Adam Lambert several months ago about starring in the musical. I guess they were wondering if he was available.

I know there is nationwide casting going on now for the musical, and I'm just wondering if they are really looking for new talent or do you think they will pick more well known Broadway performers to star in the lead roles?

It would be hard for them to pick someone who has never done theatre before, but maybe been in a group or rock band.

Wow ... such wit.

With the amount of money being poured into this show I do not see them casting a newcomer with no star power behind them as one of the leads. Now, with that being said, I don't necessarily think it will 100% be a Hollywood name, but it will be somebody with some pre-existing fan base, whether it be a movie, TV, or Broadway star.

Uhmmm, if you bothered to listen to Bernie Telsey in the last video he said that they approached Adam about working on it but he told them he had already got on American Idol & couldn't.
