Did anyone get to see the original Spitfire Grill? Garret Long sounds dazzling on the CD. Has she done anything else?

She has done tons of regional and stock work. After Spitfire, she went out on the Seussical tour (before it went non-Eq).
I saw the show and enjoyed it, thouh being a fan of the movie was disappointed in how they changed the ending.

did Garret Long knock your socks off live? I'm wondering if anyone can sing "shine" w/ as much power live as she does on the studio recording. After all, in the studio, you can do one note over and over til you get it right.
That song just sounds really difficult to me to pull off live. I've seen the show regionally and the huge belt climax of the song was under-pitch.
I didn't see the show, but my boyfriend owns the CD and i loved it from the moment i heard it!
I saw it and really loved it - the CD is wonderful because it catches so much of the feel of that actual show. I had the pleasure of working with Garrett several years back on the Sunday in the Park tour and she was so funny on stage and had such a beautiful voice, I have always admired her and hope her star will continue to rise. If you haven't heard Spitfire - get it now - its really wonderful.
You GO, Garrett!
