Does anyone have any opinion, good or bad, regarding Spitfire Grill? I have a chance to see it, but know nothing about the story or the music. Is it worth it to go? Any ideas??? Thanks!

i think it's great. I could send you a few songs if you'd like.

<--- the set of A Midsummer Night's Dream that I was assistant stage manager for during the 2007 season at the STNJ outdoor stage.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

There's a special kind of people known as show people. We live in a world full of dreams. Sometimes we're not too certain what's false and what's real. But we're seldom in doubt about what we feel.

It is a far, far better thing I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest I go to, than I have ever known.

I think it a superb show. I saw a great production on it a few years ago, and fell in love with teh score. The cast recording is great.

It's out of print, and was pressed by an independent label.

It is always on Ebay. It usually goes for about 20 or 30 bucks.

Very sweet show. Good music. I was Joe in a production. Cast of 7 - small show. But a great one that anyone can relate to.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I loved the show when I saw it in LA a few years ago. The songs are very folksy in nature, and the show itself is very heartfelt and touching.
