I understand that there should be a certain level of tact on this board concerning giving away important plot points and such about show. It's a nice courtesy, and I certainly try to always do it, however...
If you are planning on seeing a show that you haven't seen, don't go to this site, and write all over the place and then voluntarily read a thread about a show you haven't seen, and complain and whine "You ruined the show for me, blah blah blah."
Don't read posts about the shows if you don't wanna know what happens...simple and logical.
Are you referring to threads with the spoiler contained in the title?

Haha, well, I mean, if it's in the title, then obviously don't read it if you don't wanna know.
But for instance, if you haven't seen Talk Radio let's say, and you don't wanna know what happens, guess what, when you click on a thread about Talk Radio, that's the risk you take. I'm more just sick and tired of people whining about it.
Yeah I agree...but how can you help but read it if the spoiler IS the title?

Again, sure, it prolly isn't the smartest or nicest idea to put stuff in the title, but nobody forces people to visit this site, you come here, you read it, it's your fault IMO.
Wow, a thread based on common sense....
Sort of like, not discussing other people's salaries....

I was intrigued by "spoliers"-
but spoilers I can avoid.
Hmmm..I guess NO ONE should visit this site then, because there isn’t anybody here who has seen every single show at any given time.
Gee, I guess I'm not allowed to discuss Broadway anymore, since it’s “my fault” if I go to a Broadway site and read a spoiler that’s IN THE THREAD TITLE. I better keep all my thoughts on Broadway to myself then.

No, just don't complain and whine when something about a show is revealed.
I don't, but I do think it's common courtesy to put spoilers INSIDE the thread, but know that sometimes people make honest mistakes. The only time I feel it’s wise to stay off the boards is when it’s award show time and you’re watching it on tape-delay.
HumATune is right. Spoilers can and should be discussed, but in the thread. Why would anyone put it in the title. It's inconsiderate and selfish.
I think the original post in this thread is ridiculously arrogant.
I love discussing bway shows, and I love coming here. . but I also like to be surprised when I go to see a show.
I don't read threads about shows I haven't seen. . especially if I plan to see it. The spoilers in the thread title thing is rude.
One should be able to enjoy this website without worrying about it ruining their enjoyment of a show.
Is it really too much to ask not to put spoilers in the title?
