Is anyone as confused as I am..The last available show for purchase remains March 4. Why arent they selling further out?
I want to get tickets for Mid march. Does someone know something the general public doesnt?

50 + readers....an no insight. I dont think this indicates good things ahead for SA
try the box office, who knows? maybe they just havent released tickets yet...ticketmaster is weird
Despite good reviews (which I don't understand), Spring Awakening is still having a lot of trouble selling tickets. Their current block must be on sale through March. I'm sure over the next week or so, the producers will decide whether there is enough interest in their show to extend it beyond March. At this point it would be foolish of them to try to sell tickets for April or May, when they can't even sell tickets for tonight.

I was at the 12/23 matinee- almost full except for some of the rear mezz. When I asked about sales at the box office, they told me sales are doing VERY well- and expect the next block to be put up in a week or so.
Enough with the negativity from those foolishly hoping to see this wonderful show fail. SA is building its audience- no worries...
sure ask the Box ofice People if the show is selling.
The show might pick up but right now the advance is slight and the less money they have to give back the better, so they are just waiting to see how the next few months go before opening up that far in advance.
It's a business.
Just tell your friends to see the show, that's how it works.

This is excellent advice - tell your friends to GO.
Asking a box office person how tickets are selling is absolutely pointless...they will NOT tell you "oh, they are selling really lousy"...you will invariably get a positive response instead - it is not their job to give out negative box office information to the public, period. If one of our box office people said "we're not selling many tickets" or "ticket sales suck" - believe me, there'd be hell to pay.
The fact that the houses are almost full at some performances is encouaging as this is a show that needs time to build. And a new block will indeed be put on sale soon. But the dark days of Jan/Feb/Mar loom. SA needs to get to Tony time since its chances there are so exceptional. Getting through the coming months may not exactly be easy though. It totally depends on this show catching on which it is slowing doing. Accelerating that build is the issue.
