Has anybody sat in these seats before? how were they and what was your experience in them, also what is the reasoning that if you're in these seats you don't get a playbill until after the show?
Can't answer the first part, but the part about the playbills is the same for all shows with on-stage seating. So you're not flipping through it while you're on stage. You get one at the end so you'll have it for whatever you want to do with it. It's not like you could ask someone to sign it while you're on stage anyway.
I think my experiences can be found here-

I did onstage seating. You will see a LOT of backs and not many faces. If you're all right with that, then you should definitely go for it. I loved it. :3
For SA, I heard it is best to experience the show from sitting in the orchestra (or mezz) before sitting onstage, since you are going to see a rear view of most of the stuff while you're onstage.

I saw it onstage a couple months after I saw it in the audience during previews. I liked it okay from the audience, but I LOVED it onstage. I was sitting towards the front of the stage, though, so I didn't get quite as many backs or as much overpowering sound from the band.

You lose some of the full perspective that you get from the front (you don't get a complete perspective of the staging, lighting, sound, etc., since you are in the middle of it). However, for me, that loss is made up for by the sheer excitement of being onstage and so close to everything (and I mean CLOSE!!). You also might feel sort of self-consious and on display up there...you can't really check your watch, fidget with your Playbill, yawn, whatever. And those wooden chairs are pretty uncomfortable (they are the exact same ones they use on the set...in fact...oh I won't spoil it). The way it's staged, though, you still see everything clearly and I think it's just as easy to follow.
I've seen the show both ways (3 times on stage, once from out front) ...it did look and sound better from out front (I saw lighting effects from the house that I didn't catch at all from onstage). However, to me, I have rarely had a theatre experience as exciting as being up there on stage during this show. If you've always sort of fantasized about being in the middle of a Broadway musical performance, this is it.

I have to agree with gymdudeva--I have seen the show alot, I have lost count at this point,{living in NY gives me that opportunity}, I have seen the show from ALL vantage points. I feel that being on stage is the most exciting experience. However, I feel that if you are seeing the show for the first time, you must experience it from the Mezz, to get the full impact of the lighting & Staging...then see it on-stage for the sheer impact of being in the middle of all that talent & energy.I had an interesting conversation with JGallagher about the experience of seeing the show on stage and from the Orch or Mezz...He said he would love to have that experience of being out front and watching instead of being in it. I didn't realize until he said that, how lucky we the audience really are.
Haven't seen any up for sale recently....

I'm sitting on stage AA13 for tomorrow nights show!!
would it be bad to wear dark denim jeans, a nice top, and heels? or are jeans a no, no? I figured it still looks nice so....
I'd say jeans are fine. I think most everyone who was onstage when I saw it had on jeans.
Cool, Thanks!!

I guess video'ing it or picture taking is out of the question?
No, it's an exception.
Stephanie (and Fiyero): I recently sat in AA13 and had a blast! You do have a rear view of some of the performances, but it didn't really affect my enjoyment of the show since I saw it from the orchestra earlier this summer. Christine Estabrook is on your left most of the time (or whoever is playing the adult woman). The people who sit on your right at different points in the show are Lilli Cooper (Jennifer Damiano the afternoon I saw it) and Remy Zaken. I had a good view of Matt Doyle from across where I was sitting, which was good, because he is so cute! Not sure if he will be at your performance though. He is a swing, and Robert Hager was out of the ensemble playing Otto that afternoon.
You tend to notice more background things onstage. For example, during "My Junk," you are right there when Skyler is playing the piano and fooling around with his piano teacher. I also saw the cast members whispering to each other from time to time, and Skyler looked awfully tired - he kept rubbing his eyes when he was out of the audience's view. I also noticed Jon Groff having a small conversation with the band when his back is to the audience.
It's also energetic when you have everyone stomping around you! Totally F*cked and Bitch of Living were thrilling. Have fun!

I have onstage seats for Sept. 30. (very different seats than my usual AA13). I was going to sell them, but then thought about how hard they are to get anymore, and this might be my last chance, and I have a hunky date who will go with me, so I have tentatively decided to go up to NYC and see the show for a 5th time. (4th time on stage)
I might see one other show that Sat. night...I am all about sitting onstage, so I might go with Xanadu. And it's short, so I can get to the gay bars not too late. Life is good.

No, you come and go up and down the ailses...there are steps to the stage...after the show you just go back down the steps into the house....
You'll just have to walk back out the main doors then down the sidewalk to the stage door...
