Posted: 8/15/07 at 12:28amI was talking to a guy at the MP stage door tonight and he said the SA stage door is a MOB. Is it really that bad? I was planning on stage-dooring Thursday night and I really wanted to get pictures and autographs. I would really appreciate any feedback.

Yeah it's pretty crazy but if you do it stand under the marquee. You'll have to wait longer but you get to chat, etc longer.

Posted: 8/15/07 at 12:34amI was there this past Saturday afternoon and it's not that bad. There are a lot of people but they sign and take pictures with everyone who wants to.

Posted: 8/15/07 at 12:36amSorry, I have no clue where the stage door is. Is it near the marquee?

Posted: 8/15/07 at 12:38amYes. If you go out the main doors and make a left, you're right there.

Posted: 8/15/07 at 8:33amI've been to several Thursday performances (but not since the Tonys), and it was not that bad at all. You may want to wait a little away from the door, toward where the barricade ends and opens up at the left (toward the main doors). It seemed a little less crowded there, and it seemed a little more relaxed and social, away from the initial just-outside-the-door onslaught.

Well, I have been going to the stage door for about 8 months now. And in the beginning, there would be about 10 people there. Now, it can get crazy. I ususally see the show on a Friday night. Lately, it has been a Mob scene. If you want to wait for the cast at the beginning of the barricade, you get to talk to them a little bit longer. Or, if you wait at the end of the barricade,to the left of the Stage Door- usually that is their starting point, they greet fans there first. But they will all sign and take Pics and talk. Especially Johnnny G., he loves to talk to his fans! But go! And have a great time.

I was there on monday and there were a lot of people, but the cast is happy to take pix and chat with everyone (some more than others) and they all sign autographs if you ask them...

I was there on friday and it was indeed hell. They are extremely friendly though and make sure they treat their fans well.
I was dissapointed J gal didn't come out though.

Posted: 8/20/07 at 12:06amIf you start leaving at the start of the curtain call, you'll be fine. I got there and I was right on the barricade. The cast is extremely friendly, ESPECIALLY J. Gal.- he was almost too mice. Lea seemed in a little bit of a rush, which I can understand. She was still friendly and took pictures, though.

Posted: 8/20/07 at 12:21pmI was surprised how friendly Skylar was because he always seemed very introverted to me in interviews.

Mark-
I was there on Friday too...small world :) Which section of the barricades were you at? I left before Groff came out. I think they were backstage with Vanessa Hudgens from High School Musical. I had to catch a train so I didn't wait around past 11:00.

Venessa Anne Hudgins? where'd you hear that?
My sister's friend was there for a broadway camp (I actually recognized him at the theater... small world, right?) and they were chatting with groff and galegher after the show, so that's one reason it took so long.
Anywho, If you're coming out of the stage door, I was to the far right, towards the end of the "line" that they were making. How about you? (by the way, this proves my theory that everyone I meet at stage doors has or does post here)
